Study the Relationship between Self-Efficacy, Communication Skills, Critical Thinking and Creativity of high School Students of District one of Urmia City

Abstract


The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between self-efficacy, communication skills, critical thinking and creativity of high school students of district one of Urmia. In this study, 374 high school students (208 females and 166 male) were selected as a sample of study by stratified random sampling.   the tools were, Abedi Creativity Test (1993), self-efficacy questionnaire of Sherer et al (1982), critical thinking questionnaire of Ricketts (2003) and Revised Questionnaire of communication skills of Jerabek (2004). For data analysis, statistical test, Pearson correlation coefficient, t-test and multiple regression were used. Analytical research findings show that, there is a significant positive correlation between self-efficacy, creativity and components of creativity. There is no relationship between communication skills & creativity, there is a positive significant correlation between critical thinking and creativity. there is no significant difference between girls and boys in terms of creativity. there is no significant difference between girls and boys in terms of critical thinking. there is no significant difference between girls and boys in terms of communication skills. there is no significant difference between girls and boys in terms of self-efficacy. Self-Efficacy has direct significant positive effect on students’ creativity.
