Discussing the Role of Knowledge-Based Leadership in Knowledge Management and Innovation Processes (Case Study: Companies Industrial City of Sanandaj City)

This research is aimed at discussing the role of knowledge-based leadership style in knowledge management and innovation processes among factories located in Sanandaj city’s industrial park. In addition the research is carried out under a descriptive-correlative method as a field research. The population of this research however, includes the entire managers and employees of service providing and manufacturing companies located in Sanandaj city’s industrial park during 2015. These include 67 companies located in phases one and three of Sanandaj city’s industrial park in addition to 184 managers. The sampling method applied in this research is a simple random sampling method. In addition, for the purpose of data collection, the questionnaires of knowledge management, knowledge-based management and innovation were used. The validity of these questionnaires are approved by a certain professors. On the other hand, the reliability of the former questionnaires is approved by application of Cronbach’s alpha method. Nevertheless, for data analysis, the Pearson’s correlation coefficient test and the regression test were applied. Results have manifested that although the processes of KM are important for innovation, existence of this style of leadership encourages the improvement of application of exploration and exploitation methods (for instance storage, transfer and application). Here the main concept is that as a result of this development and making use of Km processes, the company will be able to improve its performance in terms of product innovation.
